Size: 9”x11”

A symbolic portrait of my father as a young boy.

Fantasy vs. Reality. Nature vs City. My father at 5, an inner-city immigrant child, sitting on a horse pretending to be a cowboy. His favorite pastime was baseball so the layers are created over a background image transfer of the old Connie Mack stadium plan where he went to see games. I added a mosaic of family photos and some of his other interests inside and around the grid of the plan, Applied texture contrast rough environment v. his joyful face.
